We were contracted to design and develop a Ruby on Rails web interface for CubeSMS.
Using the power of this framework, we were able to deliver a consistent, reliable,
dynamic site, and did so quickly.
The objective of the site is to enable users to
manage contact lists, and to easily send SMS to selected contacts.
We helped to manage the development & production environments, so that the staff at CubeSMS could see different releases as the software development life cycle progressed. Because of the agile nature of our development environment using Rails, and our own business flexibility we were able to meet the changing needs of the client as development progressed.
After an initial launch, with the aforementioned user interface separated from the business site,
it was decided to merge them into the one, which we managed quickly and easily with the design
working seamlessly in both areas.
Another extra feature was required after launch: a built-in SOAP interface to allow existing and future external software to interact with the CubeSMS functionality. Basically this means that not only do users have the ability to use the interface directly using a web browser, but also potentially through other programs made by a third party installed on their computer.
