home page We were contracted to redevelop a Ruby on Rails Content Management System for MyDates.com.au. Storyboards and design were provided by Max Reaction as Photoshop PDFs and then we did what we do best - made the site work. We also implemented some Search Engine Optimization provided by SEO Global to help boost the rankings.

The development was an agile progression where the client had access to a development site which was updated several times per week so they could be kept up-to-date on how the site was looking and working at any time. This development site was filled with hundreds of users with randomised info to help us visualise what the site will grow into, and analyse performance associated with such growth and be ready for that from the beginning.

user administration It was built from the ground-up to be as secure as possible, due to the private nature of the site, and all features were based on that solid framework. Not only is there a user-secured area, but there is also an overall administration system so that MyDates staff can manage users, set photo approvals, etc.

search results conversation display The site provides an elegant streamlined interface to login, set your personal info, upload pictures, search for other users, and send them messages and flirts with an email-type mailbox. You can track who you have viewed, who has viewed your profile, bookmark users, and set permissions as to which users should not see your profile, and who can have access to your private photos.

After a few weeks live running smoothly and some statistical analysis, the client decided to open it's website up to the UK and USA.

Due to an unsatisfactory performance by another developer, we employed ADO to redevelop MyDates using only the storyboards previously designed.

A meeting was arranged to discuss the scope and terms of the project, and from the offset Adam showed a genuine passion and offered much expertise and input resulting in a much better site then previously designed.

It was agreed that we would have permanent access to the development site, this not only allowed us to view what progress had been made on a daily basis, but also allowed us to make changes to improve the design and useability of the site during development.

What pleased us the most was the constant contact we had with ADO. All our calls and emails were answered within the day and we was never left wondering what was happening to the project. Every Monday we held a phone conference to discuss the next phase of coding and timeframes. As this was a redevelopment, time was of the essence and we set quite a tight timeframe for completion. The project was completed within the deadline and with extra features not previously discussed.

The site went live in Australia first to allow time for testing and bug fixing. To our delight there were very few bugs and after only 2 weeks we asked ADO to aid with coding to launch the site in the USA AND UK - 3 months ahead of schedule.

The site has now been live for 6 weeks and works perfectly. We are growing a useful sized database with members from all three countries.

Due to the level of service provided, ADO are now our preferred web developers and conduct all coding and back-end work, with a focus now on sponsor and advertising space within the site.

After the new year ADO will star development on IM and speeddating services.
