We developed this site as a result of an established working relationship between Adam and the client, Sheryl Brennan, from working together on the School of Nursing & Midwifery website at the University of Tasmania.
Originally we designed & developed the site under a Shopify account, nursingstories.myshopify.com, with the whole design based around the first book by Sheryl, Contradictory Stories - An Oral History of 1960s Nursing Students.
Upon publishing her second book, The Fence on the Precipice - Child Welfare Nursing 1918-1930, we incorporated both books into a fresh redesign which can easily expand if the author expands upon her releases.
Although Shopify is a reasonable system, the fees involved (5% of each transaction + e-gateway fees) means it can get expensive, and we had just finished a simple shopping cart application (soon to be launched at Drag'n'Shop), so we implemented the design into our new system. NursingHistory.com.au uses a simple PayPal checkout, which accepts all major credit cards, and is simplified if you have a PayPal account.
We also helped to setup and manage a Google AdWords account for the site - queries for "nursing history australia" and similar will constantly yield results.

Products can also be added, edited, sorted or deleted. Products have multiple variations per book (eg paperback, pdf, etc) which can be added/edited/sorted/deleted. Editing a product uses the same WYSIWYG editor and image library as the pages for consistency.
